Well, so much for getting caught up on my backlog. Ah well, vacation’s for relaxing anyway. Heading home for the holiday and will probably return sometime on the weekend.

Unison Vita!

If you love Nanoha and you love Alter, I’m sure you’re well aware of this release… especially since it was two months ago ^^;; Ordered through Kid Nemo, and in light of four other figures being canceled on me, was very happy when the order was filled.
It seems that StrikerS didn’t sit as well with people compared to its successors but in the end I liked it well enough. Perhaps if I ever get through this backlog I’ll ramble on in detail about that ^^; At any rate, Vita debuts in A’s so you don’t have to like StrikerS to be a fan. Actually at first I wasn’t considering Vita at all (thought I’d be content with Hayate, Fate, and Nanoha)… but sometime after Signum was announced I got roped in.

Oppai Omake

Pictured above are some new arrivals, I’ll be wrapping up this post with the oppai omake so scroll to the end if that’s what you’re here for ^^; I guess suzu qualifies for oppai omake material but narika is definitely pettanko ^^;; At any rate, really happy to finally get these two as it brings to a close another long drama with Kid Nemo. As you probably know, both of these figures were released ages ago and after recently asking for an order status update, all I got back was, release date TBA. I’d had enough so after a cancellation and order at hlj, had the figures in about a week.

Another recent arrival post ^^;
Quick Japanese tidbit: This post is titled ‘mokkai’ which is I believe is slang for ‘mou ikkai’ (if not directly derived, they do happen to have the same meaning ^^;). Perhaps you’ve heard the phrase, ‘mou ichido’ (once more, again)? ‘ichido’ and ‘ikkai’ have roughly the same meaning, ‘one time’, so yeap, ‘mou ikkai’ also means ‘once more’ or ‘one more time’. Yotsuba-chan uses this phrase in volume 3, right before the fireworks display when Jumbo is mad Asagi wasn’t coming along.
…errr sorry ’bout that, got carried away ^^;

Just a short blurb. After seeing Optic’s post on figma storage I immediately embarked on a mission to organize my own figure parts! I had just been lamenting over the fact that it was such a pain to get out my nendoroid parts out of the box to change faces and limbs and such.

姫 Hime!

Today we have Good Smile Company’s recent release, 姫 (hime, {princess}) from 怪物王女 (kaibutsu oujo {monster princess}). Turns out hime’s real name is リリアーヌ (Lilianne), and perhaps you’re more familiar with the English title for the series – Princess Resurrection. The series originated as a manga and had a 26 episode anime run in 2007.

Got a software release coming up at work at the end of the week, so I haven’t made any progress on my review queue, next reading lesson or any other post orz.
What the women at my job are... nothing like orz
Weekend looks a little busy too but I’ll try to squeeze in review time. If nothing else, I need to get emuemu and nida out of their boxes… and prepare for more incoming goodies ^_^

鷹守ハルカ Takamori Haruka

As with (surprisingly) many things in the otaku world, our story this time begins with an eroge. Thanks to Alicesoft‘s February 2008 release of 超昂閃忍ハルカ (chou kousennin haruka, Beat Blades Haruka), we have this lovely offering from Alter. I’ll assume readers are well aware, but just to be sure, the links to Alicesoft’s site are nsfw.
Though some eroge focus on story and can be quite moving, Beat Blades Haruka definitely focuses on the ero aspect.

Final Package 到着

The flurry of packages finally ended Wednesday when the last of my packages arrived.
Hime caught my eye when I saw the preview pics, on a whim started watching the anime recently and that pretty much sealed the deal. Was kinda confused when wcloudx proclaimed how huge the box was (after all, just seemed like your standard 1/7) but indeed, surprised me a bit when I got it. Like hime herself the box just kinda has a commanding sort of presence ^^;
