Hands down the most negatively received figure I’ve ever previewed but let’s finish up a full review for CM’s Corporation’s Fate Testarossa ^^;
If you’re reading about this release for the first time, you might ask, why all the fuss? First and foremost I’d say is the price. As previously mentioned, she retails for over 10,000 yen. That fact alone kills the figure for most. If not, there’s the issue of her appearance. Most don’t really think she does Fate justice, adding further insult to injury. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a decently scaled posable version of Fate… your options are kind of limited.

Been a pretty quiet month for me, figure-ordering-wise. I track/limit my purchases based on the month I place the order, rather than release date, and because of that… I’m nearly out of April without placing an order!

…And it figures just as I’m writing this I get the GSC newsletter officially announcing the World is Mine Hatsune Miku release orz. Ok, well I *almost* got through the month without placing an order. Dark brown frame for me ^^

Not quite sure what I was thinking, but decided a little bit ago to see what these CM’s Corporation figures were all about.

Was digging around the タユタマ (tayutama) game site and found they offered 1920×1200 wallpapers!

You’ll want to head to the official page (that page should be sfw, but navigate the rest of the site at your own risk. *cough* character pages *cough*) for the original bitmaps, though if you can’t be bothered, you can click the image for a jpg. Decided to browse some other visual novel sites for more wallpaper and wasn’t disappointed.

This has got to be the most out of order Japanese reading course you’ll ever find. ^^; This is also an unheard of two Japanese lessons in a row. Anyhow, today’s topic is wanting! As in, “I want to go swimming” or “I want to eat taiyaki.” Or…
Sorry about the bad scan… manga don’t exactly lay flat ^^;; Lesson material is taken from the opening chapter of まんが家さんとアシスタントさんと (まんがかさんとあしすたんとさんと == Mr. Manga Artist & Ms. Assistant &). Read on for an explanation of the “tai” form, but first, and introduction to verbs! Might be unsafe for work, but then again you shouldn’t be studying Japanese at work (usually) :P
From this point on, I will not always put up romaji for the hiragana, so make sure to get those down! Total immersion, it’s for your own good :P

Just a bit on what I’m up to lately… mostly anime & Trigger Heart Exelica. Well, we’ll start with games since that’s the shorter topic ^^;
Gaming
I haven’t played a shoot-em-up for a while but the fire is burning strong now. Sucking really bad when I started, I could barely clear the first level of Exelica without continuing. Now I’ve gotten up to stage 4 (of 5) once and can usually make it mostly thru stage 3. Couple more weeks and maybe I’ll actually be able to clear the game! (i.e. I still suck, but less now ^^;)

Now for the second figure that arrived last week!
Wish I had more background choices… but in the meantime I guess it simplifies things when I’m trying to decide how to shoot ^^; Woulda been really hard to see anything on black, so white was a no brainer (well, barring any sort of stylistic shoot ^^;)

Max Factory nailed this one. I think it’d be hard for a haruhi fan to go wrong in acquiring this version, she looks great. 1/8 scale standing 21cm tall and retailing for 7800 yen… (7057 at hobby search, 7429 at hlj)… make sure to gets yours while you can :P
