とうとう出来ました！ 今日のレビューは高町なのは、水着バージョンです。 Finally, it’s finished! Today’s review is the mizugi version of good ‘ol takamachi nanoha. このレビューは久しぶりに日本語で書いて見ました。 長い間練習してないせいで何かおかしい事たくさん書いちゃったんだろう。 すみません！ ｍ（＿ ＿）ｍ
Good Smile Companyからの無駄にでかい１／４スケールなのは！ まぁ、GSCだけどオフィシャルページでは「企画・制作協力」はGiftと書いてあります。 思ったよりずっとよくて水着フェイトちゃん期待してます。 A massive 1/4 release by Good Smile Company, though it does mention Gift for “Planning / Production Assistance” on the main site. Turned out much better than I anticipated and now I really can’t wait for Fate ^^
涼子ほど凄くないけど１／４スケールだからあんまり期待してなくて満足。 Didn’t impress me as much as ryouko but perhaps it was because I wasn’t expecting much out of a 1/4 release that allowed her to exceed my expectations.
全高３８ｃｍって 高っ！38cm tall, she’s a beast!
水着…小さ過ぎない？ And perhaps a little too big for her swimsuit? :P

なのははこんなに胸大きいんだっけ？ ロリなのは好きファンに残念 ＾＾； Didn’t remember nanoha being so busty ^^; Sorry loli nanoha fans, you’re out of luck ^^;;
水着の糸（糸って言うんでしょうか ＾＾；）どうしてか分かんないけど割りと好き。 でも下の写真にはあんなに綺麗じゃないかな All strings on her suit were a nice touch. Though perhaps not as impressive at this zoom ^^;

その目誰の目？ Whose eyes are those?
大きいから髪の小さいディテールが出来そうけどそうならないね、普通。 You would think with the increased scale they could carve out very fine details in the hair but alas that never seems the be the case.
酷いと言わないけど髪は何か普通です。 Not horrible, but I’m just always looking for it ‘cuz it’s often my favorite aspect when done well.

このレビューでは使ってないけどダボがあるんです。Did the review without her support bar, but note that she has one.
そのダボは足の後ろにあるから大分影の薄いパーツです。 必要なかったら使わないけどフィギュアにダメージが心配で、結局使います。 Luckily the metal bar is behind one of her legs so it’s pretty inconspicuous. The clamp on her leg is… well, less so but hey, better than having a leaning figure I suppose.
ベースは相変わらずつまんないけどそれは期待してなかった。 Giftのフィギュアでよく使うミラーベースはよかったのに。 Really wish they did something more exciting with the base. Just boring white. orz
さて、サイズ比較！ 最初に、水着フィギュア！ Now for some size comparisons… first, the mizugi comparison ^^
１／６ KOS-MOS、 １／７ すず…これで僕の水着フィギュア全体。 1/6 KOS-MOS, 1/7 suzu… I believe this is also my complete mizugi figure collection.
１／８ ミクと１／４涼子追加。 フィグマなのはも追加。 小さいね ＾＾； Added in 1/8 miku & 1/4 ryouko… and figma nanoha ^^; She’s so tiny ^^;
そして最後にシグナムとはやて。 And we’ll wrap it up with signum & hayate ^^
言うまでもなくなのははやっぱりでかい。 そのでかさで凄く目立つフィギュアです。 It hardly needs to be mentioned, but nanoha is massive. If you’re looking for an attention grabber for you collection, she’ll fit the bill with her size alone. Might warrant display apart from your main collection to not stick out so much :P
GSCのサイトによるとフェイトちゃんの出番は来てるようです。 The GSC listing also mentions quite explicitly that a matching Fate is in the works -

原作のなのはの表情はましだと思います。 それと髪のせいでこのなのはは絶対買わなきゃってフィギュアじゃない。 それでもなのはファンとして、エピックのフィギュアのファンとして、最近水着フィギュア好きになったファンとして、僕は後悔してません！Wish they had stuck closer to her expression in the source pic, which I like a lot better. That and detailing on the hair that failed to impress keeps this from being a must buy in my book. That said, as a nanoha fan, a fan of epic figures, and a budding mizugi figure fan, no regrets! She’s awesome ^^

Nice figure. I see that you’ve started to cater to the Japanese audience as well. ^^
I’m not sure if I’m getting Nanoha, but Fate will be a must get for me. Looking at the photos, I might buy her if she goes on a sale, *wink* HLJ *wink* but I doubt that’ll happen since she’s so popular.
I have the towering Yuki bunny at 42cm sitting on my desk, so Nanoha (or Fate) won’t look out of place at my place. Might look good around Gift’s 1/5 Yoko too.
The hair can do with more detail, but then there’s usually not much detail in anime characters so the figure is anime accurate(?), something that people seem to value a lot in their figures. The hair doesn’t look too bad anyways.

figured that the increase in traffic from foobarbaz was a good excuse to get some practice in ^^; i guess the only problem is that i have no one to proofread what i wrote ^^; though already i know my politeness level is all over the map hence making the style a little jarring i think… ah well.
hmm yeah so yuki’s taller, isn’t she ^^; would make a nice pair
yeah hair’s definitely not bad guess i was just trying to convey that i think there’s room to kick up the level of detail (and still remain faithful to character design)

yeah nanoha’s not my fav either but she gets on my buy lists with her status as the main character more or less. i have high hopes for the pair ^^

She’s huge >_< Not very detailed for a 1/4 figure but since she's wearing so little, there's not much to detail ^^; Her body seems a bit plain but I suppose it is accurately modeled after the anime.
A good catch for Nanoha fans though ^^

yeah i think that’s why i’m so fixated on the hair… pretty much the only thing left to add detail to ^^;
definitely a solid purchase for nanoha mania ^^

I loved this figure. Nanoha turned out very, very nice and her size is really imposing. I wished I had the storage capacity for a 1/4 figure. She’s too tall to fit anywhere for me. Well, even though I am not going to buy Fate, I do hope to see the her figure soon too. ^^

Haven’t practised Japanese for a while so you dished it out here? ^^;
Looking back, it’s unusual to have a bikini figure of such size due to the fact that there usually aren’t much detail on them. However, they have done the colours and details so the price makes it up.

but of course, what better way to cater to my japanese readers? ^^
actually now that i think about it it makes perfect sense to do a bikini for 1/4… so much less to worry about for the sculpting ^^;; probably a lot cheaper to produce that a fancy outfit

I’m not a fan of Nanoha, but, as you said, a more detailed hair would rise the “must buy” factor a lot. Anyway, congratulations for getting her! ^^

I know how that is. It’s hard for me to import many figures (shipping costs and possible taxes kill me), so I need to be REALLY sure when I decide to buy a figure or not. ^^;

i swear it’s like an optical illusion ^^;;; on some monitors she looks yellow or even on the same monitor if i look at the images long enough it starts looking normal again -_- i need some sort of reference system to get the color right ^^; i guess that’s the trouble with skin tones. weird colored skin stands out immediately but for clothes it’s just… different colored clothes
gah, if they did them all… well, i was able to resist all the bunnies ^^; but hayate and signum would be sure buys ^^;

-10 hue in PS makes her normal for me. For example post on Re-Hikari’s blog, has her yellowish as well ^^ I thought it might be lame selection of color by painters. But on foo-bar-baz her colors look normal… Lets say shes “taned” ^^;

When I saw the low angle completeness shots, the first thing that snap in my mind is “holy smack, Queen Kong Nanoha. LOL
I reckon her hair can use a bit more work, detailed wise but overall, she’s worth having except the size is the biggest drawback from me. I wish she came in a alternative lower scale (1/8) to cater the two-piece lovers out there. (like me xD)

definitely need to have a flexible display plan to fit her in… wonder if i would’ve gotten her at a smaller scale though. part of the reason was ‘cuz 1/4 scale was epic ^^; well i guess to have a nanoha fate pair i guess i would’ve bought her regardless of scale ^^;

Not to sound like too much of a pervert (although I’d readily and enthusiastically admit to it if accused), but GSC did a really nice job sculpting her backside. I like how they did her face too, she looks all exuberant and cheerful rather than just mildly happy.
I don’t think I ever noticed the “Possibly related posts” section before but I went to those links to try and figure out how they were being generated, and I couldn’t figure it out. I wonder if the folks at FAMEbaby know they are being linked from a post reviewing a Japanese anime figure?

She does look nice, but for a figure of that size I think mizugi is a little too simple for my tastes. I still don’t own a single figure of the type though, which is quite odd. I’d rather see a 1/4 scale in her regular outfit of something that has more detail. Not that this is a bad figure though, but she looks damn tall XD Also taking her to a real beach would be a task.

unfortunately when it comes to detailed 1/4 figures… i think that’s when you end up with things like volks’ kanu release ^^; 44,100 yen… for the unpainted gk i believe? ^^;;;

Okay here are several factors that come into play that dont make this figure interesting for me:
1. Shes from the Nanoha series
Sorry,but I dont like the franchise
2.Swimsuit
A swimsuit might look good in smaller scales but the bigger they get the tougher its to achieve a nice shading/tan job
Shes still a nice job but definately nothing for me.Im particulary happy that Gift is keeping up the quality releases.
Oh and on a sidenote.Ive noticed in your mahjong post that you bought the Gintama Manga.Try the Anime instead its superior over the Manga and features an all star seiyuu cast ^^
3. The pose
May be a perfect in canon pose for Nanoha but its rather plain for my tastes

i was trying to watch gintama but haven’t been able to acquire it yet. orz the manga was readily available at kinokuniya though :P regardless, i always like to try at least the 1st volume, especially if it’s the source material. no offense meant, i just like making the call myself. ^^; but anyhow, yes, i would love to watch it, just haven’t been able to!

I’m impressed with the additional Japanese there. I’ve seen a huge chunk of Japanese readers showing up a couple of weeks ago, but my Japanese isn’t competent enough to do my posts in ^^;
I wanted to get 1/4 Yuki back then, but I heard it doesn’t even fit in the detolf! So I doubt this one will fit either XD I’m not a big Nanoha fan thankfully so my wallet thanks me for not getting this one, lol.

i’ve been getting approximately 10-15% of my views from japanese folk yet i think i’ve yet to see a single comment from them ^^; (well, does aaron or punynari count? ^^;) thought that the japanese translation might encourage some interaction but guess danny’s right… they’re a quiet lot ^^;
hmmm guess i could try when i get home to see if she fits… nanoha is a bit shorter since she doesn’t have bunny ears :P
