Time for another manga… hmm… sampler? はるみねーしょん – Harumination – is a 4-koma published by manga time kirara, authored by 大沖 (daioki). I bought it because I just loved the cover art:
Wasn’t let down. In fact I’ve thoroughly enjoyed pretty much all of the manga time kirara comics I’ve randomly purchased ^^ Speaking of which, did ya know K-ON! is published by manga time kirara? Or that Daioki did a guest comic at the end of vol. 1 and 2 of K-ON!?

Was looking into acquiring my first touhou figure (desires rekindled thanks to punynari) when I stumbled upon this release by kotobukiya. I didn’t get sucked into the touhou world until summer so it was completely off my radar. Decided it fit the bill and ordered at Hobby Stock through Goody Japan.

First, ぐーぱん！
Another gem I’ve stumbled upon lately – a manga called ぐーぱん！ (Gu-pan!, according to the author, from グーパンチ (good punch)). I think one reason I like it is because the main character, miri, reminds me of taiga. The setting, however, is a whole lot less dramatic and focused on slice of life comedy ^^

Manga recommendation: マンガ家さんとアシスタントさんと ~ The Comic Artist and His Assistants.
Not really sure where I’m going with this because it hasn’t been released in english (though maybe some scanlations are out?), but hopefully you can find it in a digestive format somewhere ^^; Also, I tend to have a pretty broad tastes… but in the spirit of rambling about my passion of the day, here we go ^^

Was happy to come home to some beautiful weather… unseasonable cool here in the bay area! Complete opposite of Tokyo… well, humidity-wise at least. Anyhow, taidami modorimashita, etc etc :P Back to posting!
In the end I spent about 48000 yen over 4 days in akiba. Luckily I’m an extremely slow shopper or I’m sure the damage would’ve been much worse ^^;

The problem with following so many series is that auto-buy mode becomes increasingly damaging….
I had ordered Saki a couple weeks back, and having finally started the hatsukoi anime I had to get the rest of that series. Totally recommend hatsukoi limited for fans of romantic comedy. What it reminds me most is kimi kiss. No fantastic elements or anything, just a nice complicated web of relationships. I guess those are kinda hit or miss, depending on if you like the characters… but for what’s it’s worth, they were a hit with me ^^;

Wanted to get that lulu review up, but… well, truth be told it was hot as hell and I couldn’t get anything done. Kept my computer off most of time to keep the house as cool as possible (no AC orz). So while that did wonders for my progress in FFTA2… well, you get the picture ^^;
I did make a trip to J-Town to pickup some manga I had ordered some weeks back…

Feels like lately I’ve been posting less and less often… yet somehow looking at my archives I churned out 19 posts last month – just 1 less than the month before. Of course, posting for the sake of posting is pretty meaningless, especially considering I’m not pumping out ads or anything… but I digress.
Just a ‘lil update… currently working on a lala review. One of my lamps is on the fritz so I had to improvise with another from the living room. Unfortunately I kind of have to hold it to get the results I want, which is annoying. But on the other hand, it’s neat to experiment and vary/customize the conditions for each shot.
Wish I didn’t get the glare in her eye in the shot below. Otherwise kinda like how it turned out.

Are you ever drawn to an anime/games/etc by music alone? Happens to me from time to time, recently thanks to the song アンインストール (Uninstall).
Really love the vocals ^_^ Found out it was the OP to ぼくらの (bokurano) and was immediately interested.

Sorry, no reviews yet, just more rambling on my arrivals ^^;
Front 6 are new, boxes in the background... mmm well I'll get to that later ^^;
I think 6 is a new record for most arrivals in a single box… was quite a package to haul around all day ^^; I think Optic brought up the question of most figures in a month earlier…
