I really love 大沖‘s (daioki) work. Something about the sort of subdued energy of his characters. Talked about harumination before and was delighted to find out he loves touhou (or at least making touhou doujin). Today’s figure is the counterpart to the reimu i reviewed earlier – though she was released earlier – CIRNO!!

Two slightly harder to obtain figures today. First off is Kotobukiya x Ichijinsha’s rendition of TOKIAME sensei’s illustration of Kirisame Marisa (of touhou fame for those of you un-ZUNified out there :P).

Time for another manga… hmm… sampler? はるみねーしょん – Harumination – is a 4-koma published by manga time kirara, authored by 大沖 (daioki). I bought it because I just loved the cover art:
Wasn’t let down. In fact I’ve thoroughly enjoyed pretty much all of the manga time kirara comics I’ve randomly purchased ^^ Speaking of which, did ya know K-ON! is published by manga time kirara? Or that Daioki did a guest comic at the end of vol. 1 and 2 of K-ON!?

Was looking into acquiring my first touhou figure (desires rekindled thanks to punynari) when I stumbled upon this release by kotobukiya. I didn’t get sucked into the touhou world until summer so it was completely off my radar. Decided it fit the bill and ordered at Hobby Stock through Goody Japan.
